Attempts by Washington to threaten Tehran...
Announcing a new U.S. nuclear doctrine earlier this month, President Barack Obama explicitly excluded Iran and North Korea from tighter restrictions on the possible use of U.S. nuclear weapons.
"Such remarks are detrimental to the international community and it does not yield to the realities, unless other countries and we take nuclear disarmament serious and spread it worldwide," the ISNA news agency quoted Manoucher Mottaki as saying.
Mottaki said nuclear weapons have no use except destruction and devastation and cannot be considered as defensive weapons.
"Those have focused their power on nuclear weapons are playing with fire," the Iranian minister said on Tuesday at a meeting with Turkey"s newly-appointed ambassador to Tehran.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast earlier said Iran would complain officially to the UN Security Council about the U.S. government as a threat to global peace and security.
